We had more stuff than ever to rip apart and build this meeting! We started off by skinning a poor defenceless nabaztag, to see what makes him tick! (or not, in this one's case, since it doesn't like connecting to the internet).
After thoroughly disembowelling the bunny, and working out what the main parts probably were (rfid reader, wifi antenna, main control board), Phil opened up his DVD recorder to try and work out what was up with it, deciding it was probably the switching regulator on the power board due to some burning around the tracks.
While this was going on, Bob was linking up an Arduino, an Ethernet Shield, and an RGB LED, with the intention of making an internet controlled RGB LED. We succeeded in getting the red LED controlled by a button on a webpage, before packing up ready for the meeting proper.
The meeting covered possible alternative locations for meetings including pubs, scout huts, church halls, narrowboats, raft floated under stockport town center and volcano bases, and the organisation of a hackspace pub crawl one Saturday afternoon ostensibly to look for a nice pub with real ale and a function room.
